The Relationship Between Symbolic Interactionism and Interpretive Description

Abstract: In this article I explore the relationship between symbolic interactionist theory and interpretive description methodology. The two are highly compatible, making symbolic interactionism an excellent theoretical framework for interpretive description studies.
