“…Moreover, a joint factor analysis showed empirical convergence between components of the DAPP-BQ and the four dimensions of the Personality Inventory for DSM-5 (11), an instrument used to assess the DSM-5 trait model (12). Evidence for the strong psychometric qualities and clinical validity of the DAPP-BQ is well established (13)(14)(15)(16)(17)(18)(19)(20).…”

“…This suggests that single personality traits are not to fully explain the variability observed in vulnerability to stress (Hennig, 2004) and that a combination of behavioral traits might better predict an individual's vulnerability to develop depression-like alterations following chronic stress. In fact, other personality traits, such as impulsive sensation seeking, aggression, activity or sociability, have also been shown to be associated with an individual's susceptibility to depression (Ball, 1995;Wang et al, 2004). Cortisol studies have further confirmed the biological significance of these traits (Ballenger et al, 1983;Mazur, 1995;Gunnar et al, 1997;Rosenblitt et al, 2001) and there have been a few studies that successfully linked some of these traits -e.g., impulsive sensation seeking -with hippocampal function (Pickering, 2004).…”

“…Different cross-cultural studies have endorsed the universality of the alternative five factors (Aluja, Rossier, García, Angleitner, Kuhlman, & Zuckerman, 2006;Rossier, Aluja, García, Angleitner, De Pascalis, Wang, Kuhlman & Zuckerman, 2007;Wu, Wang, Du, Jianh & Wang, 2000). The ZKPQ has also showed strong relationships with the DSM-IV Personality Disorders (Aluja, García, Cuevas & García, 2007, Wang, Du, Wang, Livesley, & Jang, 2004.…”
