The Relaxation Mechanism in AC Susceptibility of b.c.c. Solid 3 He

Abstract: We report AC susceptibility of b.c.c. solid 3He in both the paramagnetic and ordered states. The frequency range in which the measurements were done was from 16 Hz to 2 kHz, being much wider than in the previous study. The results of the measurements revealed that the relaxation time between the Zeeman energy and exchange energy in the paramagnetic state is on the order of ms, being in agreement with the previous work, while that in the ordered state decreases drastically.
