The research of the thermal and mechanical properties of materials produced by 3D printing method

Abstract: A comparative analysis of thermal properties of semi-crystalline and amorphous polymeric materials was carried out. Samples were produced using 3D printing technology on the SIGNAL-ATMAT printer. The following polymeric materials were used to make the samples: thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, Laywood, ethylene terephthalate, poly (lactic acid). The materials were tested for their thermal and mechanical properties. The research included the analysis of thermal pro… Show more

“…Among them, softness stands out, making it a less hard, flexible material with good elasticity and resistance to humidity. This last characteristic is essential for the application of insoles in cases of plantar hyperhidrosis, as it prevents the absorption of sweat (BRANCEWICZ-STEINMETZ et al, 2022;ELMRABET;SIEGKAS, 2020;GNATOWSKI et al, 2019;ÖZSOY;ERÇETIN;ÇEVIK, 2021;SOLTANMOHAMMADI et al, 2024).…”

“…Graphene/SiC composites are widely used in various fields, from ceramics to building materials, and the three-dimensional printing technology is now available for advanced fabrication of graphene/SiC composites [6][7][8][9]. Graphene is the hardest material found so far, and has an excellent mechanical property as well; it is one of the materials with the highest known strength.…”

“…Compared with traditional manufacturing methods, 3D printing technology has advantages such as reducing the processing difficulty of complex structures, reducing costs and saving space. 3D printing technology has been widely used in various fields to print from food to building, providing promising frontiers in food products and architectural engineering [1][2][3][4]. Though we can consider ingredient distribution, color and shape in food products, and print functional materials like hydrophilic or hydrophobic building surface for self-clean or for water collection from air like an ancient device called Fangzhu [5,6].…”
