The road to gender equality: Persisting obstacles for American women in the workforce.

Abstract: This article examines the persisting obstacles American women face in the workforce, for example, gender bias and gender stereotyping. These microaggressive behaviors create obstacles for women in the workplace environment as with the glass ceiling and the broken rung.
