The role and regulation of pulcherrimin during Bacillus subtilis biofilm development

Abstract

First and foremost, I would like to say thank you to all the members of my committee for their time and willingness to serve on it. I want to give a special thanks to my advisor, Dr. Yunrong (Win) Chai, for his guidance and great science discussions during my Ph.D. I am grateful that I was always allowed the freedom to be curious throughout my journey in graduate school. As a result of that, entire projects arose from a simple observation in the lab. I am grateful I made the choice to join the Chai lab! I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Veronica Godoy-Carter for her joyful presence and helpful feedback during our meetings. I will always bring with me the high standards you made sure we kept, in the way we carry our research and ourselves as scientists.
