Abstract: BACKGROUND: We investigated the utility of specific biomarkers—namely, c-terminal telopeptide (CTX), n-telopeptide (NTX), deoxypyridinoline (DPD), and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP)—compared to conventional diagnostic methods.
