Abstract: The role of butylbenzene carbenium ions in the acid catalyzed cracking of polystyrene. Transformation of n-butylbenzene, sec-butylbenzene, iso-butylbenzene, tert-butylbenzene, 4-phenyl-1-butene, n-propylbenzene and n-hexylbenzene over silicaalumina and alumina acid catalysts .
