The role of CCR2 in prognosis of patients with endometrial cancer and tumor microenvironment remodeling

Abstract: Tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a core role in the genesis and progress of endometrial carcinoma (EC). The immune system, a crucial element of TME, functions in various immune cells. In this paper, we have tried to evaluate the prognosis in EC patients by the status of TME. The ESTIMATE algorithm was implemented to computer the number of immune and stromal components in EC tissues from the Cancer Genome Atlas dataset. The CIBERSORT algorithm was employed to assess the proportion of tumorinfiltrating immune … Show more

“…However, data on the role of the TME stromal cells on tumor progression remains scant. Besides, previous studies have indicated that tumor-infiltrating immune cells (TICs) in TME could serve as prognostic markers in cancer with various bioinformatics tools, such as lung cancer [ 17 ], endometrial carcinoma [ 18 ] and hepatocellular carcinoma [ 19 ]. The interaction has been valuable for developing innovative THCA-directed immunotherapies.…”

“…By computing the immune/stromal/Assess score, the ESTIMATE method is an extensively acknowledged and robust method used in several malignancies in estimating the immune cells/infiltrating stromal level and the purity of tumor. TME has been characterized with the aid of the ESTIMATE algorithm in a variety of solid cancers, such as osteosarcoma [49], cervical squamous cell carcinoma [50], endometrial cancer [51], and breast cancer [52]. It was extensively shown to predict infiltration of nontumor cells successfully in TME.…”
