The Role of Ceria in Hydrogenation of Carbon Monoxide and Dehydration of Bio-Ethanol

Abstract: Abstract-Ceria is the active catalyst for various chemical processes. The reactions of hydrogenation of carbon monoxide and dehydration of bioethanol using the cerium oxide as catalyst are considered. The role of cerium oxide in the investigated processes, which have a positive influence on the selectivity, the process conditions, the dispersion of catalysts are shown.
