Social innovation and environmental innovation is a fast-growing phenomenon. More and more businesses are trying to understand how social and environmental innovation can help their business model. The purpose of this paper is to examine the contribution of community involvement toward social and environmental innovation to achieve sustainable tourism development. Perceptions of 650 local community members of different tourist destinations of Jammu and Kashmir have been used to meet the objectives of the study. The structural equation modelling (SEM) technique has been used for determining the structural estimates between constructs with the help of Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) and Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS) software. Hypothesis testing revealed a positive impact of community involvement on social and environmental innovation. The results also depicted a positive impact of social and environmental innovation on sustainable tourism development.

Purpose: This article aims to identify the main tendencies and features of public-private partnerships in the environmental sphere regarding developing environmental and economic security in Ukraine. Theoretical framework: Business cost savings when implementing the latest technologies in pursuit of economic results are accompanied by a deterioration of the environmental situation at the regional and national levels, increased risks of negative impact on population health, and reduced labor productivity, which, accordingly, causes a potential increase in public healthcare costs. As a result, the search for forms and methods to ensure effective cooperation between the state and business in solving natural resources management problems is intensifying. Design/methodology/approach: The study used analytical and bibliographic methods to study the scientific literature on implementing the ecological and economic security doctrine and the features of various types of public-private partnerships related to it, as well as induction, deduction, analysis, synthesis of information, systemic and structural, comparative, logical, and linguistic methods, abstraction, idealization for studying and processing data, and a questionnaire survey conducted by the research authors online to clarify the most critical issues related to this issue practically. Findings: The study identified the principal and most important theoretical aspects of public-private partnership issues in the environmental sector. Research, Practical & Social implications: Also, it examined the opinion of representatives of public environmental organizations and executives of local government departments on the critical aspects of the problem. Originality/value: One of the most effective forms of combining the efforts of all stakeholders is a public-private partnership, which in a market economy allows directing limited resources of business and the state to solve the most pressing problems of both certain regions and the country as a whole through the mechanism of joint implementation of socially significant projects.

Participatory decision-making is the urge for decentralization. Nevertheless, in Ethiopia, decisions are not made based on shared understanding and marginalized voices are increasing. We used a mixed method, and the data was analysed through convergent parallel design. Grounded on theoretical lenses of democratic decentralization and democratic decision-making approaches, our findings fail to support the decentralization of community participation in decision-making at the grassroots level due to the absence of legally entrenched and visible participatory structures as well as the low performance of local administrators in mobilizing the community in the revenue-generating and budgeting process. All of these made the community lack interest in decentralization and less likely to participate in the process. Hence, at the local government level, the practice of decentralization is more promising than apprehending inclusive participation.
