The role of community pharmacists and their position in the delivery of diabetes care: an update for medical professionals

Abstract: Pharmacists are the third largest group of healthcare professionals worldwide, but are underused in the delivery of diabetes care. The aim of this narrative was to describe how integration of community pharmacy services into existing healthcare models may improve diabetes care.
