Abstract:A member of the RMn6Sn6 rare-earth family materials, TbMn6Sn6, recently showed experimental signatures of the realization of a quantum-limit Chern magnet. Despite the promising experimental results, theoretical studies with accurate electron correlations which probe these observations have been lacking. In this work, we use quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) and density functional theory with Hubbard U (DFT+U ) calculations to examine the electronic structure of TbMn6Sn6. To do so, we optimize accurate, correlation-con… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
