Abstract: The paper analyzes the role of endogenous ligands and biogenic amines in the development of the comorbid course of gastroesophageal reflux disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary inflammation. It is shown that the study of the role of inflammation in the development of GERD and COPD led to a new perspective on the mechanisms of damage to target organs in the isolated course of these diseases.
