Abstract:Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) comprises a group of inherited metabolic diseases. Each MPS type is caused by a deficiency in the activity of one kind of enzymes involved in glycosaminoglycan (GAG) degradation, resulting from the presence of pathogenic variant(s) of the corresponding gene.
