Abstract: Despite advances in diagnostic and therapeutic methods, gastrointestinal (GI) cancers have both a high incidence and a high mortality rate. In addition to surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, novel modalities such as immunotherapy are increasingly used in the treatment of these cancers.
