The Role of Logistics in Partnership for the Goals

Abstract

This chapter emphasizes the vital role of logistics within the context of Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17) – Partnerships for the Goals. It discusses the impact of international organizations such as the World Customs Organization (WCO), International Road Transport Union (IRU), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Maritime Organization (IMO), and the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) on logistics, analyzing their relationships with other SDGs. The chapter also examines innovative approaches in global trade by analyzing the European Green Deal and BRICS. The main initiatives of the European Green Deal are summarized, emphasizing their connections to relevant SDGs. By revealing the synergies between logistics, international cooperation, and sustainable development, this chapter supports the role of logistics in SDG 17 and facilitates progress with other SDGs.
