“…The effect of miR-2335-5p, miR-101c-5p in osteogenic differentiation has never been reported. In addition, miR-150, sponged by lncRNA TCONS_00206,603, was proved to serve as a negative regulator for osteoblasts (Moussa et al, 2021), which was found to be upregulated in SOP patients in our study. However, we have not detected any downregulation of lncRNA TCONS_00206,603 in SOP patient.…”

“…micro-CT scanning was performed to evaluate bone phenotype using Bruker Sky1172 Skyscan (Kontich, Belgium). A total of 100 slices (1 mm) below the distal growth plate of the femurs was measured for 3D reconstruction and quantification of trabecular bone as described previously (56). The X-ray tube was operated at 96 kV and 65 μA using a 0.5 mm Al filter with a resolution of 7.93 μm pixels.…”

“…During the transition of pro-B to pre-B lymphocytes, miR-150 must normally be downregulated, since its target, the transcription factor c-Myb [65], is necessary for the development of B lymphocytes of the hematopoietic system [66], thus its upregulation inhibits c-Myb, which inhibits the transition of pro-B to pre-B lymphocytes [67]. In addition, a recent study reported that miR-150 is expressed in different tissues and its expression increases in bones, progressively with age, playing an important role in bone homeostasis, in the differentiation and function of osteoblasts, and osteoclasts, since miR-150 serves as a negative regulator of osteoblasts and a positive regulator of osteoclasts, regulating the expression of osteoactivin/glycoprotein nonmetastatic melanoma protein B (Osteoactivin/GPNMB) [68]. It has been reported that miR-150 was significantly upregulated in inflamed human pulps compared to healthy pulps.…”
