Abstract: Renal cell carcinoma is one of the most common malignant neoplasms of the genitourinary system. Along with smoking and hereditary syndromes associated with mutations in the Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) gene, obesity is one of the main risk factors for the development of renal cell carcinoma.
