Abstract: BackgroundMaintenance of normothermia is a crucial part of enhanced recovery after colorectal surgery. Dry‐cold carbon dioxide (CO2) traditionally used for insufflation in laparoscopic surgery and negative pressure operating theatres has been associated with intraoperative hypothermia.
