The role of the brain FKBP5 in depression

Abstract: Major depression is a life threatening psychiatric disorder. Hyperactivity of HPA axis is one of the pathophysiological changes of depression, and HPA axis is known to be under the neural control of mPFC, hippocampus and amygdala.
