The role of the globalization process in the formation of the digital economy

Abstract: The article highlights and analyzes the preconditions and main aspects of the formation of digital globalization, including the achievements of the fourth industrial revolution, artificial intelligence technologies, global data and information flows, digital platforms and e-commerce. While financial flows and traditional trade in goods at the global level are declining due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, global digital economic ties, on the contrary, are expanding significantly.
