The article presents the results of studying the pellets crumbliness index of a pilot batch of extruded compound feed for pike-perch. The regimes of extruded pellets fish compound feed production with minimal crumbling were defined using a mathematical model. A 3-factorial central composite design was implemented to obtain a mathematical model of the process of extrudate resulting in the second-degree polynomial. The process influencing factors include the feed mixture moisture W (%), extrusion temperature T (°C) and steam pressure P (MPa). Experimental studies were conducted according to the experimental plan. The experimental data obtained were entered into the planning matrix. Experimental data was processed in a program prepared in Microsoft Excel. As a result, an adequate second-order mathematical model describing the dependence of the crumbliness index on the feed mixture moisture before extrusion, extrusion temperature and steam pressure was obtained. The mathematical model adequacy was tested based on Fisher's variance ratio. The Fisher criterion is an important statistical tool for verifying the adequacy of the model and analyzing the variance. The analysis of the obtained model and its graphical interpretation are presented. A good extrusion process mathematical model was developed. The fundamental principles of feed mixture processing on a single-screw extruder and the choice of its rational parameters ensure the production of extruded compound feed pellets for pike-perch with minimal crumbling were studied. A minimal crumbling is provided at the following values of the factors - feed mixture moisture before extrusion is 32%, extrusion temperature is 132 °C, and pressure is 0.4 MPa. In the selected levels of factors, the calculated value of extruded pellets crumbling was 1.02%.

The paper reviews a prospective measures of diversifying agricultural production through the development of low-cost pond aquaculture, allowing to create new production chains with high added value, unaffected by numerous weather and market risks inherent for agriculture, especially under risky conditions of southern Russia and its Volgograd region, where poaching catch of river crayfish decreased its natural population and made it a high-demand delicacy. Due to this, pond crayfish farming becomes a competitive direction of freshwater aquaculture, and for its implementing on rural territories paper proposes developed by authors' project of small aquaculture enterprise based on breeding of crayfish and auxiliary production of carps. Being suitable for family farms and environment-friendly, this project could generate for farm up to $13,800 of profit yearly and thus become a basis for sustainable development of inclusive green economy within rural territories of Russia.

Due to the increasing resistance of aquaculture pathogens to antibiotics, the search for new approaches to the control of infectious diseases is of particular importance. A promising approach is the development of probiotic preparations based on antagonist bacteria. The paper studied the antagonistic activity of Bacillus strains that are promising for developing probiotics for fish. The strains were isolated from the bottom sediments of the Don River in the area of the Donskoy Fish Reserve, as well as from the intestines of cyprinids of natural populations, namely, from silver carp (Cyprinus gibelio), roach (Rutilus heckelii), and bream (Abramis brama). The inhibitory effect of Bacillus strains against causative agents of aeromonosis, pseudomonosis and bacterial hemorrhagic septicemia was studied by the method of delayed antagonism. Aeromonas and Pseudomonas species pathogenic for fish were isolated from sturgeons, cyprinids and salmons grown in pond farms and recirculating aquaculture systems in the Krasnodar Region, Rostov Region and the Republic of Adygea. It has been shown that sensitivity to the action of bacilli is not only a species, but also a strain-specific trait among bacterial pathogens of fish. Five strains were identified that exhibited the maximum antagonistic activity against the studied pathogens, and their species identification was carried out by molecular biological and mass spectrometric methods. It has been established that the most pronounced antagonism is exhibited by strains of bacilli isolated from bottom sediments. The growth of all studied strains of fish pathogenic species of Pseudomonas was suppressed only the B. subtilis R4 strain. Thus, strains of aerobic spore-forming bacteria suitable for the creation of probiotic preparations for aquaculture objects have been isolated and characterized.
