“…The higher reporting frequency when MST interventions were performed in samples of greater age variability may imply that training interventions should be geared toward cohorts of narrower age or ability ranges. Children are not necessarily more prone to MST-related injuries than adults, but proper instruction and supervision, particularly with younger, less-experienced age groups, are of paramount importance (4,22). It is possible that researchers' or trainers' inability to cater to the different needs within a heterogeneous group, rather than the group's heterogeneity per se, explains the apparent greater prevalence of AEs in such groups.…”
