Abstract:Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) is the most common opportunistic infection in patients with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The most common manifestations of PCP are subacute onset of progressive dyspnea, fever, non-productive cough, chest discomfort and respiratory failure (1).
