“…The situation is complex, but surely the imposition of certain norms that already existing professors must carry out within a certain time period is considered imperative. Progress in academic hierarchy must be more stringent, and the criteria must be set to the highest possible level ( 6 - 8 ). Doctoral studies must produce scientists, real academic staff, and not people who are just pro forma, who are just for the paper.…”

“…Further internationalization of the journal is imperative. Broad adoption and stick to the principles and guidelines of the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the Council of Science Editors (CSE), the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), ICMJE and COPE by all parties in the scientific community, first of all from young scientists and all potential authors, as well as from reviewers and Editorial Board members, is necessary for improvement of the quality of any journal in general ( 6 - 10 ). Devoted work in accordance with those principles is the ultimate path for improvement the quality of published papers and visibility of Materia Socio Medica in the future.…”
