Basic income is perceived as a possible antidote to challenges related to the full realisation of social citizenship (Pateman, 2004;Purdy, 1994;Zelleke, 2005), the need to reform the existing institutions of the welfare state (Bergmann, 2004(Bergmann, , 2008Murray, 2008;Van Parijs, 1992a), new requirements of the labour markets (Baranowski, 2021;Clark & Kavanagh, 1996;Elgarte, 2008) and even the progressive automation of production processes (Arntz, Gregory, & Zierahn, 2017;Dermont & Weisstanner, 2020;Hughes, 2014;Lucarelli & Fumagalli, 2008).…”

“…This state of affairs has led to calls to socialize not only the risks and costs of developing basic technologies but also the rewards too. And while one may claim that the rewards are indeed socialized through taxation, rampant corporate tax evasion and global capital movements, sometimes hidden behind labels like the "sharing economy" (Baranowski, 2021), render this argument moot. There have been proposals for the state enjoying some benefit from the investments it makes in innovation, like adopting a portfolio approach (Rodrik, 2014) or "income-contingent loans" and retaining equity in the firms utilizing the publicly funded technology (Mazzucato, 2015).…”

“…Perspektywa ta dotyczy jednego z aspektów własności (własność spółek giełdowych w powiązaniu z mechanizmami kontroli), badanego za pomocą socjologii ekonomicznej. A zatem z natury "wszechstronny" problem może rozstrzygnięty zostać za pomocą interdyscyplinarnego podejścia (socjologiczno-ekonomicznego), wspartego teorią praw własnościowych jako podłoża teoretycznego (Baranowski 2011b(Baranowski , 2021 Ownership in sociological terms: An overview ABSTRACT: The article deals with the characteristics of ownership from a sociological or, more precisely, socio-economic perspective. The article aims to highlight the difference between the legal and sociological approach to the issue of ownership, especially in the context of studying modern companies.…”
