Abstract: Regulation of microtubule dynamics by microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs) is essential for mitotic spindle assembly and chromosome segregation. Altered microtubule dynamics, particularly increased microtubule growth rates, were found to be a contributing factor for the development of chromosomal instability, which potentiates tumorigenesis.
