The status-2004 of the Kurchatov center of SR

Abstract: Kurchatov Synchrotron Radiation Source (KCSR) began the work as a first dedicated synchrotron radiation facility in Russia in 1999. The facility includes 450 MeV SIBERIA-1 and 2.5 GeV SIBERIA-2 storage rings. It is intended for experiments in the range of SR from VUV up to hard X-ray. Large progress was achieved in increasing stored current at SIBERIA-2 during last year. The report describes the current work and the plans on the storage rings. It informs about achieved consumer parameters of an electron beam a… Show more

“…Monochromatisation of the primary beam in horizontal plane was achieved using single-bounce germanium crystal. The energy of monochromatic radiation was 17 keV defined by the (111) reflection with the contribution of higher harmonics negligible due to the sharp decrease of spectral intensity of the source [13]. The detector consisted of the scintillation screen viewed by the CCD camera (1024 × 1024 elements) through the microscope lens.…”

“…3a. The parameters of Siberia-2 storage ring were used for this simulation: electron beam energy 2.5 GeV (electron reduced energy is equal to  =4892), electron orbit radius R =4905.4 mm, synchrotron radiation critical energy 7.2 keV (Korchuganov et al, 2005;Korchuganov & Smolyakov, 2009) suggests that the synchrotron radiation phase distribution is very close to that of an immobile point source. Closer examination of the derived above expressions shows that the correspondent equivalent point source, which produces the similar phase distribution, should be placed at the point with coordinates…”

“…Созданная система основана на автоматическом взаимодействии нескольких специализированных RESTful-сервисов, реализующих отдельные этапы вычислений и графической визуализации результатов. Это позволяет надеяться, что и другие исследователи смогут использовать предложенный подход для обработки своих экспериментальных данных рентгеновского рассеяния на наноматериалах, используя, например, современные возможности Курчатовского источника синхротронного излучения [19], а изложенная работа поможет оценить применимость метода оптимизационной идентификации для иных задач.…”
