“…Four infants died after recruitment leaving 109 children eligible for follow‐up. The current study cohort consisted of the 99 children who had repeated assessments with the SOMP‐I during the first year 7 and were assessed with the Bayley‐III at 2.5 years' corrected age (median: 31 months range 27‐44 months). One child was excluded due to a condition unrelated to the prematurity [Corrections made on 11 September 2020, after first online publication: In the preceding sentence, “congenital orthopaedic disorder” has been changed to “condition unrelated to the prematurity” in this version.].…”

“…The diagnostic scales used in clinical practice are based on the subjective evaluation of the diagnostician and, consequently, on his or her experience and knowledge (Ciuraj et al 2019). The most popular scales include Test of Infant Motor Performance (TIMP) (Nuysink et al 2013), General Movements Assessment (GMA) (Einspieler & Prechtl 2005), Vojta's kinesiological diagnostics (Gajewska et al 2006), Alberta Infant Motor Scale (AIMS) (Piper et al 1992 (Montgomery et al 2017;Johansen et al 2017). The described situation inspires the search for an objective, non-invasive, and effective measurement system (Ciuraj et al 2019;Kieszczyńska et al 2018).…”
