The study of ligand properties of crown ethers (18-crown-6 and dibenzo-18-crown-6) when interacting with RhCl3 • nH2O in aprotic and proton solvents

Abstract: The interaction of 18-crown-6 and dibenzo-18-crown-6 with RhCl3 • nH2O in acetone, acetonitrile and butanol was studied using pH-metry, conductometry and spectrophotometry. It was shown that rhodium chlorocomplexes are involved in the formation of the second coordination sphere of molecular complexes 18-crown-6 and dibenzo-18crown-6 with solvent molecules or ionic complexes of the above-mentioned crown ethers with hydroxonium particles.
