Abstract:Permeability of coal is recognized as the most important parameter for fluid transport through the seams. A new finite element model is applied to quantify the gas flow, the deformation of matrix and the net change of permeability. After plenty of study of the permeability, the revolution of the permeability based on the pore pressure and the sorption-induced strain is built.
