Abstract:The management of fibrous dysplasia is challenging especially when faced with a large lesion involving the proximal femur resulting in the classical shepherd crook deformity. We report on a case of a 16 year old boy who was treated successfully for his pathological femur fracture on a background of fibrous dysplasia with a shepherd's crook deformity by using the Ilizarov technique.
