Abstract: The manuscript based on X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy on aqueous solutions containing KCl and different amino acids. Our analysis suggests that the presence of the inorganic ions at the surface of the liquid is strongly dependent on the pH of the solution and the type of amino acid.
