The implementation of information systems (IS) architecture is a step in constructing enterprise architecture (EA) according to The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and can introduce notable benefits in supporting the management and governance of information and communications technology (ICT) in organizations. However, the literature lacks models that support the construction of IS architectures in university hospitals (UHs). The Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Pernambuco (HC-UFPE) is a large UH that confronts ICT misalignments of with other internal areas. In this context, this study investigates and proposes an IS architecture model for UHs through a case study conducted at HC-UFPE. The data collection methodology for constructing the IS architecture of this hospital was based on consultations with institutional documents, interviews with strategic stakeholders, and participant observations in the hospital's ICT sector. Open coding and data triangulation were used to analyze the data. This study presents two main contributions.(1) The development of a model used to assist in the construction of IS architecture for UHs. The model developed in this study has a practical application with the TOGAF 9.2 framework and Archi software for constructing an IS architecture for HC-UFPE. (2) The development and delivery of an HC-UFPE IS architecture to support the hospital's ICT governance, providing, through EA artifacts, a holistic view of the hospital's current and future ICT processes, in addition to the identification of gaps, challenges, and viable solutions to be considered for decision making to improve service delivery and ICT alignment with other hospital areas.

La creciente importancia de la gestión de información en organizaciones ha impulsado el desarrollo de sistemas de información gerencial. En el ámbito universitario, estos sistemas son especialmente relevantes. Este estudio exploratorio analiza el sistema de gestión integral de la Universidad de Guayaquil, empleando una metodología mixta y herramientas como encuestas, entrevistas y benchmarking. Se encontró que la plataforma SIUG (Sistema Integrado Universidad de Guayaquil) satisface un 36,95% de los requerimientos esenciales para una universidad. Además, se identificó que no satisface completamente las necesidades de gestión administrativa y académica. El benchmarking reveló que universidades de primer mundo tienen mejores sistemas de gestión académica en comparación con las latinoamericanas. La investigación concluye que el sistema de gestión integrado de la Universidad de Guayaquil no satisface plenamente las necesidades administrativas y académicas. Se determinó que una herramienta ERP, como Microsoft Dynamics 365, puede proporcionar soluciones efectivas para abordar las necesidades institucionales actuales en el ámbito educativo. La adopción de sistemas ERP puede contribuir al desarrollo y crecimiento de las instituciones educativas, permitiendo enfrentar desafíos y demandas emergentes en la Era de la Industria 4.0. Es fundamental que las universidades aborden proactivamente la actualización y mejora de sus sistemas y procesos para garantizar la calidad y eficiencia en un mundo interconectado y tecnológicamente avanzado.

Moja współpraca z Profesorem zaczęła się 25 lat temu, kiedy tworzył Katedrę Zarządzania w Wyższej Szkole Handlu i Prawa im. Łazarskiego, aktualnie Uczelni Łazarskiego.Profesor to bardzo silna osobowość, która objawia się w różnych sytuacjach. Odniosę się do kilku przykładów znakomicie to ilustrujących.Jego cechy charakteru, takie jak kreatywność i pobudzanie do działania nie są pustymi frazesami, realnie występują w procesach kierowania ludźmi. Myślę, że to Jemu zawdzięczam moją "karierę" dydaktyczną. Jego upór, ale i delikatna perswazja -że się marnuję, nie ucząc studentów -poskutkowały. Nie bardzo widziałam siebie jako osobę uczącą, wykładającą, uważałam bowiem, że jeszcze sama muszę zdobyć pokłady wiedzy. Miałam spokojną i bezpieczną pracę naukową w jednym z instytutów PAN, a tu nagle mam się "wystawić na odstrzał" studentów, którzy będą mnie oceniać i to surowo. Zgodziłam się i… uczę już 25 lat. Wypuściłam w świat wielu licencjatów, magistrantów, słuchaczy studiów podyplomowych MBA, którzy pisali u mnie prace projektowe i kilku doktorantów.Kiedyś, czytając wywiad z bardzo znanym polskim aktorem, dowiedziałam się, że on za każdym razem gdy staje na scenie czuje tremę. Ja też tak mam, gdy staję "za katedrą", szczególnie na początku każdego nowego semestru. Profesor argumentował, że to normalne i to dobry objaw, oznaczający, że jeszcze mi zależy i że się staram. Piszę o tym, gdyż taka motywacja pozwala człowiekowi na spokojną pracę i rozwijanie się, żeby nie posłużyć się wyświechtanym zwrotem "dodaje skrzydeł".Kreatywność Profesora i Jego pobudzanie do działania poskutkowały tym, że na uczelni Łazarskiego postanowił uruchomić studia podyplomowe. Nikt o tym nie myślał, wręcz przeciwnie, okazało się, że pojawili prof. zw. dr hab. Zdzisław Szyjewski Uniwersytet Szczeciński * * * * * * Moja współpraca z Panem Profesorem Kisielnickim rozpoczęła się w 2001 roku, kiedy rozpoczęłam studia doktoranckie, i trwa do dziś. Pan Profesor od początku zaimponował mi swoją wiedzą i doświadczeniem, ale także lekkością przekazywania tej wiedzy oraz swoim poczuciem humoru.W szybko zmieniającym się świecie nowych technologii Profesor pozostaje zawsze na czasie ze znajomością trendów technologicznych i najnowszych metodologii ich wdrażania. Nieustannie się kształci, rozwija, poszukuje, dopytuje, zawsze chętnie słucha o wyzwaniach i metodach rozwiązywania problemów w organizacjach. W myśl zasady Steve'a Jobsa Stay hungry, stay foolish. Dlatego, gdy zaproponowałam Profesorowi, iż chciałabym pochylić się nad tematem blockchain, technologii w jej wczesnym stadium rozwoju, przyjął moją propozycję entuzjastycznie.Cenię Profesora bardzo za to, że łączy wiedzę teoretyczną z praktyczną, dzięki czemu nasze dyskusje były zawsze bardzo rzeczowe. A dyskusji było wiele, nie należę bowiem niestety do studentek pokornych. Pan Profesor wykazuje się jednak niezwykłą cierpliwością i wyrozumiałością, za co jestem mu bardzo wdzięczna. To nie jest jednak tak, że Profesor pozwoli wybrać drogę na skróty, poda rozwiązanie "na talerzu" czy przymknie oko na nie...
