“…The T4 Stalker Tube, named after its inventor Professor Ray Stalker, is "an impulse flow facility", and more precisely "a free-piston driven reflected shock tunnel". This tunnel has been in operation, at the University of Queensland, since 1987 and is capable of reproducing hypersonic conditions for scramjet operations (Mee, Morgan, Paul, Jacobs, & Smart, 2017). To this extent, it generates important stagnation pressures that can reach 90MPa.…”
