Abstract: Icariin has testosterone mimetic properties and has therapeutic potential in the management of hypoandrogenism.

“…Increase in mean testosterone concentration supports the submission of Qin et al (2000) that testosterone secretion increased after oral treatment of immature wistar rats and in vitro treatment of cultured leydig cells with flavonoids.
