Abstract:The facultative epiphytic ginger genus Burbidgea harbours six species hitherto thought to be endemic in Borneo. Recent fieldwork in Zamboanga region, Mindanao, Philippines, resulted in the collection of a ginger, which we identified as Burbidgea nitida.
