The timing of storm awareness in the Caribbean: the utility of climate information for improved disaster preparedness

Abstract: Noting the frequency of tropical storm hazards and related disasters within the Caribbean, this paper initially highlights the relatively short average period of 'storm awareness timing' in the region, less than 24 hours, with variations in time and space.
