Abstract

Contribution/Originality: This study contributes to the existing literature by minimizing the gap of scientific investigation regarding the effectiveness of prison system in Bangladesh in dealing with the inmates. 1. INTRODUCTION Crimes are antisocial behavior mandated by the legal system. These are considered as committed when someone intentionally breaks the statutory law by crossing the limit of their legal boundaries (Brown et al., 2010). The concept of crime is a complex one, which is viewed as a norm-breaking natural phenomenon of a given human society at all times and has encountered changes in accordance with the development of society (Schwartz and Vega, 2017). The number of crime-commission seems to be soared up in the contemporary world. The rate of females" involvement in crimes is also gradually rising around the world (
