Abstract: The term frontotemporal dementia (FTD) comprises a group of neurodegenerative disorders characterized by the progressive degeneration of the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain with language impairment and changes in cognitive, behavioral and executive functions, and in some cases motor manifestations.
