The unusual behavior of the Gibbs’ reagent versus Nitrofural

Abstract: The study covers a new qualitative analytic test (method) for detecting the semicarbazone chemotherapeutic Nitrofural. The combination of Gibbs' reagent and ammonia was successfully implemented for analyzing the drug. The main structural features of the obtained color products were determined by UV-VIS spectroscopy.
