Abstract:We propose a novel design for incorporating multihop transmission in code division multiple access-based cellular systems to notably reduce the intercell interference in the network. Different design issues are considered such as the allowed number of hops, type of relay stations, relay selection, accessing scheme and duplexing mode. Numerical derivations demonstrate that the intercell interference can be significantly reduced. Moreover, a link budget analysis is performed to obtain coverage-capacity trade-off… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
