The Ups & Downs of Accreting X-Ray Pulsars: Decade-long observations with the Fermi Gamma-Ray Burst Monitor

C. Malacaria,
P. Jenke,
O. J. Roberts
et al.

Abstract: We review more than 10 yr of continuous monitoring of accreting X-ray pulsars with the all-sky Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) aboard the Fermi Gamma-rRy Space Telescope. Our work includes data from the start of GBM operations in 2008 August, through to 2019 November. Pulsations from 39 accreting pulsars are observed over an energy range of 10 − 50 keV by GBM. The GBM Accreting Pulsars Program (GAPP) performs data reduction and analysis for each accreting pulsar and makes histories of the pulse frequency and pul… Show more

“…The Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM, Meegan et al 2009) on-board the Fermi spacecraft is continuously monitoring the spin histories of X-ray pulsars (Finger et al 2009;Malacaria et al 2020). For the date (MJD 58035-58042) without HXMT observations, we compiled the GBM pulsed profile data.…”

“…In this analysis we have used the pulse frequency and 12-50 keV pulsed flux measurements with the Fermi-GBM (Finger et al 2009;Camero-Arranz et al 2009). The measurement technique is discussed thoroughly in Malacaria et al (2020).…”
