Abstract: Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is an intermediate stage between normal cognitive function (CF) and dementia. In the general population of elderly, it is diagnosed in 10–15% of cases; in patients attending outpatient appointments, the frequency of diagnosis is 70%.
