“…The effectiveness of the Corrective Movement principle in the treatment of Idiopathic Scoliosis through its application by the SpineCor brace has been demonstrated by the www.intechopen.com treatment results within studies published by the Sainte-Justine research team (Coillard et al, 2003, 2007, Vachon et al, 2006, and by independent centres from different countries (Potackzek et al, 2008;Szwed et al, 2009;Vera, 2009;Tsakiri et al, 2009). Our experience has shown that the reinforcement of the Corrective Movement principle by means of a scoliosis class specific Physical Therapy exercise program has a positive effect on its neuromuscular integration (del Campo, 2010).…”

“…The SpineCor brace has been found to have a very high rate of ‘success;’ this meaning either stabilization (± 5°) and/or correction (reduction >5°) of scoliosis deformities 13 , 14 , 15 ) . Herrero et al 13 ) reported an 88.3% success rate in 34 patients, Tsakiri et al 14 ) reported a 96% success rate in 82 patients, and Miller 15 ) reported a 97% success rate in 33 patients. Further, stabilization and/or correction has been shown to last in 97% of a treated population after 2 years follow-up 9 ) .…”
