The Utility of Serum Alpha-fetoprotein for Monitoring for Relapse of Alpha-fetoprotein–Positive Hepatoblastoma

Abstract: Hepatoblastoma is the most common liver malignancy in children. Treatment typically involves surgery and cisplatin-based chemotherapy. After therapy completion, children undergo repetitive surveillance imaging to screen for relapse, which occurs in <12% of cases.
