The charcoal briquette industry faces the problem of the method for determining the drying stop during its production. The combustion method as the main method is time-consuming. The test needs 3 hours to get the result. In order to find a new fast method for drying determinant, the resistivity method was proposed for rainbow coconut shell charcoal briquettes. The briquettes had a length of 3.8 cm, height of 2.2 cm, and width of 2 cm with a half-tubular top side. 50 samples of each three drying conditions (wet, half-dry, and dry) of the same drying batch were collected. These conditions were determined by a drying expert of a coconut shell charcoal briquette company. Then, the resistances were measured and the geometrical factor was applied to find their resistivities. A model of resistivity in the cross-sectional layer was also applied to find the coefficients of front-tail, base-top, and side-side directions. These coefficients became a special way to find the position of the wet part in half-dry briquettes. The results of the work show that resistivities in combination with their distribution can potentially be used for fast drying stop determinant. The wet and dry briquettes have a resistivity difference order of 102. The resistivities of the wet and dry briquettes are 450 kiloohms and 28 megaohms for every centimeter of length, respectively. The half-dry and dry briquettes have the same order of resistivities. However, the resistivity distribution of both conditions is very different. The dry briquettes have homogenous resistivities among the measurements emphasizing the drying process of the solid. Kebutuhan energi dapat dipenuhi dengan mencari sumber energi alternatif yang efisien dan terbarukan. Briket sebagai sumber energi terbarukan merupakan energi alternatif yang berasal dari sisa bahan organik padat dan mempunyai nilai kalor yang tinggi. Banyaknya penelitian briket dengan berbagai bahan baku biomasa dan berbagai rasio tertentu akan menghasilkan spesifikasi briket yang beragam, oleh karena itu perlu kajian mendalam dengan membandingkan nilai kalor, kadar air dan kadar abu pada masing-masing bahan baku briket terhadap spesifikasi yang sesuai dengan SNI 01-6235-2000. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan studi literatur yang terdiri atas pengumpulan jurnal dan referensi, melakukan analisis dan pengumpulan data, membuat jurnal ilmiah, menganalisis data, serta menarik kesimpulan dan rekomendasi. Hasil kajian yang diperoleh adalah briket dengan kualitas terbaik dengan campuran arang kelapa dan sabut kelapa dengan nilai kalor 6211 kalori/gram, kadar air 5,39% dan kadar abu 2,86%, sedangkan campuran tempurung kelapa dengan kulit durian memiliki nilai kalor sebesar 6847,31 kalori/gram, nilai kadar air dan abu dibawah 8% dan tempurung kelapa dengan kayu madan memiliki nilai kalor 6425 kalori/gram, nilai kadar air dan abu dibawah 8%. Sehingga disimpulkan briket dengan campuran tempurung kelapa dan sabut kelapa memiliki kadar air dan abu lebih baik namun memiliki nilai kalor lebih rendah dibanding campuran tempurung kelapa dengan kulit durian dan kayu madan.

Objective: This study examines the comparative and competitive export of wood charcoal in four potential countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, China, and Vietnam, in the Saudi Arabian Market with HS Code 4402. This study used annual data for nine years from 2014 - 2022, divided into three periods. Method: This study used the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI) and concentration Ratio (CR), Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA), Export Product Dynamic (EPD), X-Model, and Trade Specialization Index (ISP) models to measure the wood charcoal industry in the Saudi Arabian Market. Result: The findings show that wood charcoal market in Saudi Arabia exhibits a strict oligopoly structure, with Indonesia and China dominating the market share. Indonesia emerged as the top supplier of wood charcoal to Saudi Arabia during for nine years. Malaysia showed the highest competitiveness among potential countries in certain periods. Overall, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, and Malaysia demonstrated strong competitive positions, with dynamic export growth, positioning them as "Rising Stars" in the market. These countries specialized as wood charcoal exporters to Saudi Arabia, reaching a mature stage in their market presence during the analyzed period from 2014 to 2022. Conclusion: This study concludes that Indonesia became the highest supplier with a market share of 53.51% and had a strong comparative advantage. Malaysia has the highest optimistic market development, followed by Indonesia, Vietnam, and China. Indonesia's wood charcoal competitiveness position remains in the Rising Star position. The Trade Specialization Index of four potential countries at this stage of maturation.
