“…This observation is endorsed by publications on Doppler ultrasound showing that sonographic pulsatility measurements are likewise not sensitive enough to reliably distinguish between normal and mildly affected arteries. This is explained by the fact that the normal values depend not only on the examined vessel section, but also on features of peripheral resistance (17,20,35).
