“…14,23,32 Velopharyngeal valve closure was performed with a more natural quality to prevent airflow from entering the nose, and transferring to the mouth, during the articulation of oral consonants. 5,6,13,18 On the other hand, during the articulation of nasal consonants, the velopharyngeal valve completely prevents airflow from entering the mouth and directs it into the nasal cavity with better quality than before.
